The nose has a prominent position in the face, being completely in focus. Many women and men do not feel comfortable with their nose shape and/or size. They feel it is too crooked, too indented, too unshaped or too small … If the nose does not fit the wearer’s face in terms of proportions, this can limit their self-confidence. Often they do not feel comfortable in their skin and feel ashamed. They would like to change the shape of their nose, but are reluctant to undergo surgery. In some cases, however, this does not have to be the case at all. By injecting hyaluronic acid, we can fulfill your wish for a harmonious overall appearance. We use the filler to inject the bridge of the nose or the tip of the nose, for example. The result is visible immediately and you can go about your daily life almost without restrictions. You should only be careful with the treated area, because immediately after the injection the material is still malleable. If you wear glasses, for example, it could cause dents. Therefore, we advise you to do without glasses for a few days and possibly switch to contact lenses.

Nose correction without surgery: these options are available

Hyaluronic acid fillers work by building up volume under the skin. In classic wrinkle treatment, we can use them to compensate for gravitational wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds or marionette lines). Fillers are also suitable for compensating for volume loss. We therefore inject them into hollow cheeks, for example, or use them to build up volume on the jawline or cheekbone. However, fillers are not only suitable here for correcting small blemishes. By placing a stable hyaluronic acid in the treatment area on the nose, we can improve deformities of the bridge of your nose in the area of the bump or saddle, the tip of the nose or the bridge. We can visually soften slight nasal humps and gently elevate the tip of the nose. By subtly raising the bridge of the nose, we can refine a nose that appears too wide.

In addition, treatment with botulinum can help to raise the tip of your nose more noticeably or reduce the size of your nostrils. If you are bothered by a nasal groove (groove at the tip of the nose) and/or the bridge of the nose, we can compensate for this by injecting botulinum. Furthermore, we are able to visually lift a drooping nose tip or smooth wrinkles on the nose or around the nose. This all works due to the fact that Botulinum affects the nasal muscles and in this way can achieve such results.

Nose correction without surgery permanent: how long does the result last?

The injection treatment to optimize the shape of your nose is – compared to a surgical procedure – much faster and less complicated. The typical risks associated with surgery are eliminated. The treatment also costs significantly less than a rhinoplasty performed by a surgeon.

However, you need to know that the result of rhinoplasty without surgery is not permanent. A quick result is possible, but the effect is limited in time. Both hyaluronic acid fillers and botulinum are substances that your body will largely break down again. Depending on the structure and cross-linking of the preparation in the body, a maximum shelf life of approximately 1 – 1.5 years is possible, although a small amount of the filler may remain. If you want to permanently maintain the result of the nose correction without surgery, it is necessary to repeat the injections at regular intervals. Such repeat treatments may increase the time between sessions. As a rule, refreshers can be performed initially after half a year, and later after about 1-1.5 years.
