Beautiful eyes without wrinkles

Falten

Our eyes are the first thing another person notices about us. Everybody´s eye zone is different and unique and should remain that way. Your impression is distinctive and you should feel good about it.

Because of the ageing process it may happen that we look increasingly more tired maybe even with dark shadows under our eyes which do not disappear any more. Smiling lines also keep increasing. None of this needs to be a problem and also makes you yourself. However, if there is too much of this in one place or another, slight corrections can give you back a fresh and relaxed look.

Our aim: beauty that can be seen

Small treatments to the eyes can achieve impressive results. Some signs of aging or genetically determined imperfections can be significantly reduced.

It is important for us to identify a treatment together with you that suits you and brings out your natural beauty. Contact us.

Treatment of the eye zone

For some individuals there is increased depression of the tear grooves already at a young age due to a genetical predisposition. This might be partly reinforced by bluish translucent vessels and can result in a tired and sad appearance. As a result, people are often judged to be older than they really are.

In such cases, targeted filling with fluid hyaluronic acid, which is well adapted for the thin skin in this region, results in visible improvement.

The part under the eyes appears to be somewhat lighter and smoother again and you have a fresher, more wide awake appearance.

So-called “dark circles” make us look tired and stressed. The appearance of this unpleasant effect is attributed to the natural aging process, environmental factors and genetic predisposition.

Dark circles can also appear in younger people, making them look “old”.

Dark circles can be substantially reduced by combination treatments individually tailored to you.

Our approach is to maintain your natural look so that you feel good again about your appearance.

Smiling lines are appealing and should also be natural. Sometimes however, the margins of the eyes “crinkle” so much that we no longer feel good about it. We can reduce these wrinkles with a targeted treatment while preserving your natural expression and appearance.

Without surgery, it is possible to prevent aging or even to restore a much younger and fresher appearance.

Various methods are available to treat the so-called “crow’s feet” and other wrinkles around the eyes or even eye bags and these are often used in combination in order to obtain an aesthetic and natural result.

Beautifully shaped eyebrows make us appear friendlier and more attractive. Unfortunately, this is not always provided by nature, or the eyebrows sink downwards during aging. This can make the eyes look smaller.

The targeted use of botulinum toxin can influence the various muscles that determine the position of the eyebrow in order to alter the shape or raise the eyebrow. Hyaluronic acid can restore the volume, particularly of the lateral eyebrows. This results in more attractive, fuller and arched eyebrows.

One innovative approach is the use of micro-focused ultrasound, in order to restore the sunken eyebrows to their natural height and arch.

In order to obtain a natural appearance, combination treatment that is individually tailored to you is recommended.

Yes. The skin below the eyes is up to three times thinner than the rest of the facial skin and around six times thinner than the skin on many other areas of the body. There is also very little subcutaneous tissue and no firm connective-tissue layer in this area. The eye region contains significantly fewer sebaceous glands and collagen fibres.

  • Wrinkles such as crow’s feet and fine crepey lines
  • Dark circles
  • A visible tear trough
  • Hooded upper eyelids caused by excess skin
  • Under-eye bags caused by excess skin or protruding fat pads
  • Protruding fat pads in the upper eyelids
  • Pseudo-hooded eyelids caused by lowered outer eyebrows
  • Drooping eyebrows

Each of these concerns requires a different treatment approach. A detailed medical history and individual consultation are therefore particularly important before any treatment.

  • Eye wrinkles caused by an unhealthy lifestyle
An unbalanced diet, insufficient fluid intake, excessive alcohol and nicotine can all promote wrinkles and general skin ageing. Too little exercise, insufficient sleep and chronic stress can also have a negative effect on healthy-looking skin.
  • Fine lines caused by insufficient skincare
The skin around the eyes is very thin, which is why the first fine lines often appear here. These are frequently dehydration lines caused by insufficient moisture. Make-up or concealer can settle into these lines and make them more noticeable. Specific eye care can therefore be useful. Ingredients such as retinol, vitamins C and E, moisturising aloe vera gel, hyaluronic acid, almond oil or decongesting substances such as caffeine can support the skin. Eye creams also have a texture designed to reduce the risk of the product running into the eyes.
  • Actinic wrinkles caused by excessive UV exposure
Years of UV radiation from sunlight or tanning beds can damage the skin and accelerate wrinkle formation. Wrinkles associated with UV exposure are known as actinic wrinkles. Regular sun protection and sunglasses help protect the delicate eye area.
  • Wrinkles caused by natural ageing
Over time, the body produces less elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid. The skin loses elasticity and firmness and becomes more lax. Because the eye area is particularly delicate and sensitive, age-related changes can appear here earlier and more clearly.
  • Expression lines caused by repeated movement
Blinking, smiling, squinting and frowning repeatedly move the skin around the eyes. Together with the gradual loss of skin firmness, these recurring movements can cause lines to become increasingly etched into the skin around and below the eyes.

Natural ageing can contribute to darker areas beneath the eyes. A common factor is a genetically determined lack of fatty tissue under the eyes, which may become more pronounced over the years. This can create darker shadows or a deeper tear trough. Fine blood vessels may also show through the delicate skin with a bluish appearance. People with dark circles can therefore look tired, exhausted or even unwell even when they feel perfectly well.

The tear trough lies along the lower edge of the eye socket. Its exact position and length vary from person to person. As facial fat becomes thinner and connective tissue weakens with age, facial tissue gradually descends. The skin beneath the eyes becomes less well padded and lies closer to the underlying bone. Fine blood vessels can therefore become more visible through the reduced subcutaneous tissue.

Genetics also determine how early tear troughs become visible. In some people they are already pronounced in their twenties, while in others they appear much later.

Crow’s feet are small wrinkles that form at the outer corners of the eyes. Their branching shape resembles a bird’s footprint, which is where the name comes from. They are also known as laughter lines because they are particularly visible when smiling or laughing. This type of wrinkle is caused by repeated muscular movement around the eyes, for example squinting.

Young skin can initially smooth these folds out again after the movement stops. Over time, however, the skin gradually loses elasticity and plumpness, causing the lines to become more deeply etched and remain visible for longer.

Drooping upper eyelids do not always mean that surgical eyelid tightening is necessary. In addition to excess or lax skin on the upper eyelid itself, lowered eyebrows and/or temples can cause the neighbouring upper eyelid tissue to descend. This can imitate the appearance of a hooded eyelid and is therefore referred to as a pseudo-hooded eyelid.

In such cases, opening the eye area requires lifting the eyebrow rather than removing upper-eyelid skin. This can be achieved, for example, with BTX or Ultherapy PRIME® ultrasound treatment.

As part of natural ageing, the concentration of hyaluronic acid in the body decreases. The skin loses firmness and wrinkles and volume loss can develop. It can therefore make sense to replace missing hyaluronic acid locally by injection. This restores volume and can smooth or significantly soften wrinkles. Hyaluronic-acid treatment is particularly suitable for dark circles and tear troughs.

BTX works differently: it relaxes selected muscles and reduces the repetitive movements that create expression lines. Injections can therefore soften crow’s feet, treat pseudo-hooded eyelids and make the eyes appear more open. The aim is always to preserve natural facial expression.
