The term “beauty” is on many people’s lips these days. Social networks, lifestyle magazines and TV shows are full of tips and topics related to it. It’s quite clear: most of us not only want to look good and well-groomed, but also want to do something about one or two “blemishes” – be it blemished skin, too little glow, too many pigmentation spots or wrinkles. Some treatments, however, are a bit peculiar. One of them is the fire mask. What we think of it and what alternatives there are, you will learn in this article.
Bizarre beauty hack: fire mask
The fire mask is a trend from China. For the treatment, a cloth is soaked in alcohol, placed on the face and then set on fire. The fire is quickly smothered with another cloth so that it does not reach the skin surface. It is expected to improve cell regeneration and thus have an anti-wrinkle effect.
Our opinion: better not to carry out!
There is a great risk of burns, which is neither beneficial for health nor for beauty. Not only the fire can be dangerous, but also the alcohol. It irritates the skin and dries it out.

The principle of heat or warmth can be good for the skin and its radiance – but it depends on how it is applied!
Laser treatment
Laser treatment with fractional laser technology is considered to be one of the most modern procedures for improving and renewing the skin. During the treatment hundreds of microscopic heat columns are applied into the skin. Between them, untreated skin cells are found, which provide rapid healing. In this way, fresh, new tissue and collagen is formed, refining, rejuvenating and tightening the skin’s appearance.

Attiva
Another treatment in our private practice for dermatology and aesthetics in Munich that involves heat is Attiva. The concept is based on radiofrequency energy. During the treatment, we insert a fine probe into the subcutaneous tissue of the face. At certain points we apply radiofrequency energy in a targeted and deliberate manner, with which we can generate heat. However, this can be regulated individually and in this way it can also be controlled. While the subcutaneous tissue is treated with heat, the surface of the skin is treated with lowered temperature. As a result, the collagen fibers of the lower skin layers contract and new collagen is formed. In this way, the skin can be plumped up from the inside for a longer period of time. It appears firmer, fresher and younger.
