Fat-away injections

“Double chin” or “love handles” are attributes that we do not like admitting about ourselves. Since our skin becomes slacker with the years and fat deposits become stubbornly entrenched, we unfortunately often discover these unsightly “bulges” on ourselves.

Thanks to injection lipolysis or the so-called “fat-away injections”, small fat deposits can be fairly effectively tackled.

Injection lipolysis, also known as fat-away injections, is a treatment procedure to tackle localised excessive fat deposits. Generally a mixture of phosphatidyl choline and deoxycholic acid is injected under the skin directly into the fatty tissue, so that fat is dissolved in a biochemical manner. The agent is injected several times at intervals of 4 to 8 weeks directly into fatty tissue by means of a very small needle. Within a few days, fat degradation increases and the fat deposits melt away and get smaller.

Side effects can include redness, swelling, itching and pain. Thus rather low, controlled doses should be administered in a session. It should be noted that fat-away injection is only suitable for small quantities of fat (so-called local problem zones) and not for extensive melting of fat or weight loss.

In particular, we use fat-away injection to treat a double chin, often in combination with Ultherapy or Liquid Lifting, and to treat fat deposits on the sides of the hips (so-called love handles).
